The Academy draws its faculty members from experienced and qualified pool of officers belonging to the elite Indian Forest Service. The Academy is headed by Principal, who is a senior IFS officer assisted by five Lecturers who are also IFS officers having adequate field experience in the State cadres. In addition, there is one post of Sports Officer, Physical Training Instructor and a Scientist for Survey and Engineering subject.
The Academy also enlists the services of eminent speakers from time to time as guest lecturers to augment the training quality. Conscious effort is made to update the knowledge and skills of the faculty members through regular orientation courses, both in India and abroad. Endeavour of the Academy is to give quality inputs on all aspects of forest management to the Officer Trainees (OTs) as well as serving SFS officers.
The Principal is the Head of the Academy. The Faculty includes Lecturers and the Sports Officers. The faculty members are expert trainers in field of forestry and allied subjects and a high standard of training and education is maintained. Specialized Guest Faculty is also invited as and when required.
